There are plenty of good reasons to build your own drone. Racing, for instance. Or because you really like Star Wars. A less good reason is so that it can shoot a gun.
There’s not a lot of info on this setup. The description of the YouTube video that features it—titled just “Flying Gun”—reads:
Homemade multirotor with a semiautomatic handgun mounted on it.
Note: The length from the muzzle to the rear of the frame is over 26″.
Then again, the part where there is a quadcopter and it shoots a pistol four times in succession pretty much speaks for itself.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a drone fire a pistol, there was a similar octocopter stunt back in 2013.
But something about this quad is just so DIY and nonchalant that it’s equal parts impressive and terrifying. Welcome to the horrifying future, everyone.
